Heat Treatment Specialists
Our discreet industrial heaters can be quickly set up to treat your property. The heat acts as a closed system which recycles the heated air inside the building, through an intake port, over heating coils and out into the the room.
Each time the air passes through the industrial heater, more energy is transferred producing higher temperatures. Using thermal regulator switches the heaters can be set to the required temperature. Once the treatment area is set up we regularly monitor the heat levels using Wifi heat sensors.
Our heat treatment produces a 100% kill rate rate, 100% of the time. Not only does it kill the Bed Bugs it also kills any eggs ensuring there are none left behind.
This treatment can be performed in just one room or in the whole house or business. No chemicals are used ensuring there is no poisonous residue to worry about and you can return to your home or business immediately following the treatment.
Bed Bug Facts
Bed Bugs conceal themselves very well although they are visible to the human eye. Most of the time they will remain undetected, hiding in cracks and crevices in woodwork or plaster. They favour soft furnishings and are often found around the arm joints of armchairs or settees. Adult bed bugs are 4 - 5mm in length and a mahogany brown colour with long well developed legs with efficient tarsal claws to enable them to cling on during feeding.
Bed bugs need to be where their host is for an extended period. In a bedroom or lounge they will come out from their hiding places at night. The initial warning of a growing infestation is from being bitten. They will find a bare patch of skin and force the feeding tube of its mouthparts through the skin using its saliva which contains a chemical to stop the blood from clotting. It is this saliva that causes the itch and swelling associated with the bite.
Problems Caused by Bed Bugs
The bite from a bed bug can be very irritating and if numbers multiply the amount of bites could become such that the host may become anaemic through blood loss, although this is very rare.
The irritation caused by the saliva of a bed bug can be very nasty especially if the host has sensitive skin. The bites can itch which if scratched too much can create open wounds that can become infected. Try not to scratch and ask your local chemist or Doctor for medication to help ease the itchiness.
